"Exmore, Virginia August" Photo by Sondra Dawes — This elderly man lives beside Route 13 on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Any heavy rain turns the land into a lake. On this morning, the water was deep enough that he needed to put on waterproof boots to step outside. Using the outhouse behind the house definitely required boots.
