VPLC works throughout the year to advocate in the courts, legislature and in the community on issues most impacting Virginia’s poor.  Because of the work we do, Virginia’s low-income citizens have a voice in Virginia’s General Assembly and court system.  We advocate for laws that will enhance services and programs to low-income Virginians and fight against those that would negatively impact this population.  To fight for the poor is, unfortunately, a battle that will not disappear in the near future, but VPLC continue to work tirelessly on behalf of the less fortunate so that the rights and services provided to this population will continue to be protected.
