One week into Open Enrollment, Enroll Virginia, the statewide Navigator program of the Virginia Poverty Law Center (VPLC), will host a virtual press conference with Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace to explain how to enroll in 2027 coverage, how the new Virginia Premium Savings program lowers monthly premiums, and where to find free, in-person help.

Virginia Premium Savings is a new state-funded program that lowers monthly premiums for eligible Virginians buying 2027 coverage through the Marketplace, on top of any federal tax credits. Households with incomes between 138% and 250% of the federal poverty level (about $22,025–$39,900 for an individual or $45,540–$82,500 for a family of four) may qualify, and many are already saving as much as 70% off their monthly premiums. Funding is first-come, first-served, so early enrollment matters. Reporters will have time to ask questions during the virtual press conference.
