40 Years, 40 Faces: Patricia

Richmond, Virginia

Patricia loved working as a personal care nurse but now earns a better income in the medical outsourcing field as a customer service representative, working daily with doctors and medical services staff. Patricia and her 10- and five-year-old daughters are active members of their local church. The church provides her a sense of community, and her mother and sister are now also members. Patricia shares an apartment with her sister, along with her sister’s two children, so they can split expenses and childcare duties.
