40 Years, 40 Faces: Ronald

Ronald is a Guns ’n’ Roses fan and has been for many years. He was able to achieve disability benefits with the help of legal aid. He currently undergoes dialysis on a frequent basis and is hopeful a liver transplant will happen in the near future as he’s been on the waiting list for some time.

“40 Years, 40 Faces” was a 2018 photography and storytelling project marking VPLC’s 40th anniversary. Photographer Glen McClure and writer Marshall McClure documented Virginians impacted by VPLC’s work, using portraits and interviews to highlight resilience, dignity, and the ongoing fight for justice.
