40 Years, 40 Faces: Sherrie

Headshot of Sherrie Wallace

Roanoke, Virginia

Sherrie’s favorite job was teaching music to preschoolers: “They were so happy and loved to dance.” Sherrie no longer teaches music, but she continues to work around children in her position in a middle school cafeteria. When Sherrie had a dispute with a rather large medical bill, someone suggested she contact legal aid. The Enroll Virginia navigator helped Sherrie resolve the issue and also helped her sign up for affordable medical insurance until she’s Medicare-eligible.
