40 Years, 40 Faces: Tony

Headshot of Tony

Richmond, Virginia

Tony has played the organ since he was ten. He’s a very talented musician and not only plays music for his church but also arranges music for church special events. But that was not always the case: Tony was referred to VPLC for an issue outside of their mission. VPLC worked with a partner agency to help Tony resolve the legal issue he was struggling with. This partnership provided the legal relief he needed, in addition to restoring his civil rights. Tony is now able to live his life fully without restrictions, one of which was preventing him from enjoying one of the things he held most dear – playing the organ for his church family.
